Bathroom Cleaning Checklist


Bathroom Sinks and mirrors

  • Clean bathroom Mirrors with a mirror/window cleaner
  • Clean bathroom sinks
  • Clean and shine chrome spouts and handles
  • Focus on mold and build-up around handles and drain
  • Clean countertops
  • Empty and clean Trash Can
  • Thoroughly clean cracks where sinks meet the wall

Bathroom tubs and Showers

  • Scrub tubs and showers with tub and tile cleaner and pay attention to creases where mold builds up
  • Clean shower head
  • If necessary use pre-soaking products and let set for a few minutes to take care of mold
  • Remove shower items to clean shelving/racks – replace when finished
  • Clean Creases where the shower or tub meets the bathroom floor

Bathroom Toilets

  • Scrub inside of toilet with bowl cleaner and brush
  • Wipe sides of the toilet and seat area
  • Wipe around the base of the toilet where it meets the floor
  • Wipe behind toilet area to include all crevices on the floor
  • Spray bleach solution around base of toilet if buildup/discoloration is present (for linoleum, tile, or concrete floors only- no hard wood)

Bathroom cabinets, fixtures, and walls

  • Dust cobwebs/ ventilation covers/ light fixtures
  • Wipe off everything inside the cabinets (Deep Clean/Move-out clean only)
  • Wipe Down towel racks and toilet roll holder
  • Wipe down wood cabinets on all sides
  • Clean light switches and electrical outlets (careful)
  • Wipe down backsplash area with all purpose cleaner
  • Wipe off the door and doorknobs
  • Clean any light fixtures and fans (deep clean)
  • Replace items in their proper place

Bathroom Floors and mats

  • Sweep or vacuum bathroom mats
  • Mop tiles
  • Clean cracks where the floor tiles meet the wall and meet the bathtub or shower
  • Move any plants or other things on the floor to clean

Kitchen Cleaning Checklist


Kitchen Sinks and counters

  • Put away clean dishes, place dirty dishes in dishwasher, and run dishwasher (if clean includes dishes)
  • Clean Kitchen sinks thoroughly
  • Clean and shine chrome spouts and handles
  • Focus on mold and build-up around handles and drain
  • Clean countertops (special products for marble and stone countertops)
  • Clean Trash Can and replace trashcan bag if owner has asked for kitchen trash to be taken
  • Thoroughly clean cracks where sinks meet the wall

Kitchen Stove

  • Remove burners and oven knobs if detachable and spray stove with degreaser
  • Clean Stove tops and console area
  • Clean the oven door and oven handles
  • Wash any pots or pans that are on the stove (if clean includes dishes)
  • Thoroughly clean stove knobs
  • Clean stove fan/ vent hood with degreaser and polish if needed afterword

Microwave and fridge and other large appliances

  • Remove cooking glass dish
  • Spray with degreaser or all purpose solution and let sit for 5-10 min – clean after sufficiently prepped
  • Remove items on top of the microwave and clean all sides of the microwave
  • Wipe down toaster oven, coffee pots, and other large appliances
  • Remove items from top of fridge and wipe down top, front and sides of fridge
  • Polish Stainless Steel around kitchen

Kitchen cabinets, fixtures, and walls

  • Dust cobwebs/ fans/ ventilation
  • Dust blinds and clean window ledges
  • Wipe down towel racks
  • Clean light switches and electrical outlets (careful)
  • Wipe down backsplash (semi-gloss walls and/or tiles) with all purpose cleaner
  • Clean inside kitchen cabinets (if clean includes cabinets)
  • Wipe down wood cabinets on all sides
  • Replace items in their proper place

Kitchen Floors and mats

  • Sweep or vacuum kitchen mat
  • Mop tiles
  • Clean cracks where the floor tiles meet the wall
  • Wipe down baseboards and clean corners (if deep clean)

Living Spaces Cleaning Checklist


living room/ Dining room

  • Dust furniture, lampshades, light fixtures, artwork
  • Dust air vents and heater covers
  • Wipe down tops of tables, cabinetry, shelving
  • Clean light switches and electrical outlets (carefully)
  • Dust any ceiling fans (scrub down If deep clean)
  • Dust blinds and clean window ledges
  • Dust any cobwebs
  • Sweep and/or vacuum flooring, carpeting, rugs
  • Lift up edges of rugs to clean underneath
  • Mop hard floor
  • Clean cracks where the floor meets the wall
  • Wipe down baseboards (if deep clean)- Dust otherwise
  • Wipe windowsills and spot clean glass windows and doors
  • Replace items to proper place

Entryway / Hallways

  • Clean Cobwebs
  • Dust air vents and heater covers
  • Clean light switches and electrical outlets (careful)
  • Sweep or vacuum flooring, mats, rugs.
  • Lift up edges of rugs to clean underneath
  • Mop tiles / hard floor
  • Clean cracks where the flooring meet the wall and dust baseboards
  • Move small items and other things on the floor to clean bedrooms (also utility rooms – i.e. office/laundry/pantry)
  • Dust furniture, lampshades, light fixtures, artwork
  • Dust air vents and heater covers
  • Wipe down tops of tables, cabinetry, shelving
  • Clean light switches and electrical outlets (carefully)
  • Dust any ceiling fans (scrub down if deep clean)
  • Dust blinds and window ledges
  • Clean any cobwebs
  • Sweep and/or vacuum flooring, carpeting, rugs

FINISHING UP


check for

  • Fur or hair lingering on sinks/counters/tubs/showers
  • Check Kitchen counters for crumbs or missed stuck on spots (granite especially!)
  • Furniture put back to their proper placement
  • Check for missed or streaked spots on flooring
  • Straighten hand and bath towels in bathroom and kitchen
  • Make sure rugs lay flat and straighten any fringes
  • Read back over the list above for any items missed
  • Check that you have gathered all rags, trash, and supplies before leaving
